MY BACKGROUND
Financial Education Bestie
AWARE Consulting Firm was created in May 2010. I created this business because I was inspired to be a business owner by my grandmother. She owned a trucking business for over 50 years and was everything in the business from the secretary, accountant, the owner and manager but still managed to be a wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt throughout her business career. I wanted to help bring balance to a working women's life by providing women with ways to be more effective and efficient to working smarter and not harder in the areas of finance and business.
I have been successfully helping women for 12 plus years getting their finances organized and managed properly to overcome financial survival mode. I have helped many women improve their credit worthiness, qualify for homeownership and start a business. I help women with a small business organize and manage their business finances. I have an Associate's degree in Accounting and have professional work history in experience in the accounting field for over 22 years. I am a Certified ProAdvisor with Intuit QuickBooks. I am a Certified Financial Education Instructor and a board member as Treasury for the Together Gertown Neighborhood Association. I have been on the Supervisory & Credit Committee for a credit union from 2013 t0 2022. I successfully completed Launch NOLA's Business Academy in 2018 which taught me how to properly establish and setup a startup business.
